Hokema Kalimbas - NAMM 2019

Hokema is based out of a small town named Walsrode. They have been creating quality instruments since 1985. Peter Hokema founded the firm after having spent years studying music and learning about some traditional African plucked instruments, like the Kalimba. Peter has also created instruments like the Sansula, an oval wooden frame covered with drum skin which resonates to the tones of the Kalimba mounted in the center. The instruments are easy to play and can immediately be put to use, especially since the Kalimbas have pre-tuned scales that can created wonderful enchanting melodies.
